Quarriors Review

Quarriors

Quest into the wilds and capture your quarry. Build a custom collection of curious creatures to do your bidding and attack your opponents. Emerge victorious and gain glory for yourself and your empress. And do it all while rolling tons and tons of dice.

Quarriors takes the deck building strategy of Dominion and ups the ante. Instead of collecting cards to build out your deck, you will be building a collection of dice, each with their own unique and variable abilities. But will you be able to build a better collection than your opponents? And will the luck of the dice lead you to glorious victory, or ignoble defeat?

Cthulhu Dice

It’s a simple premise for a simple game. You are cultists of the great and mighty Cthulhu, and you don’t like the competition. So curses are flying as each cultist casts curses to drive the others insane. One die, some tokens, and a pouch that can hold it all make up a package small enough to carry in your pocket, so you can spread the insanity everywhere you go. Dominion Review

pic394356_md

You are a monarch, like your parents before you, a ruler of a small pleasant kingdom of rivers and evergreens. Unlike your parents, however, you have hopes and dreams! You want a bigger and more pleasant kingdom, with more rivers and a wider variety of trees. You want a Dominion! In all directions lie fiefs, freeholds, and feodums. All are small bits of land, controlled by petty lords and verging on anarchy. You will bring civilization to these people, uniting them under your banner.

But wait! It must be something in the air; several other monarchs have had the exact same idea. You must race to get as much of the unclaimed land as possible, fending them off along the way. To do this you will hire minions, construct buildings, spruce up your castle, and fill the coffers of your treasury. Your parents wouldn’t be proud, but your grandparents, on your mother’s side, would be delighted.

Stuff and Nonsense Review

pic2446127_mdStuff and Nonsense from Cheapass Games has the players pulling up a chair in London’s Adventurer’s Club to extoll the tales of their latest daring treks to foreign lands, and the no doubt heroic and interesting things that they did along the way. The only thing is, the adventures never really happened. In reality the players are running around all over London, hitting up various stores and locations to find facts and anecdotes, knick knacks and photographs that they can use as “proof” of their wild foreign antics.

The only problem is, they got the idea from Professor Elemental, and he’s not super happy about them honing in on his territory.

Sentinels of the Multiverse Review

SentinelsCoverSentinels of the Multiverse is a super hero themed cooperative card gameĀ from the company Greater than Games. And if that wasn’t enough for the heroes to deal with, these battles each take place in a variety of environments spanning from the undersea ruins of Atlantis to the corrupted back alleys of Rook City, and even to the harsh wastelands of Earth’s far distant future, each with their own dangers for both sides of the conflict. Are you hearing the Danny Elfman Batman Overture in your head right now and wishing you had a cape, then keep reading for more details.
